Toni LeAnn Larsen, age 57 of Arlington, passed away December 13, 2024, as the result of a tragic automobile accident. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Toni was born October 8, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Ted and Buni Mason. The majority of her childhood was spent in Blair, and she attended Blair Schools. After high school, Toni married and moved to Oakland, Nebraska, where she raised her children. In Oakland, she also ran her own daycare, tended bar and enjoyed working as a CNA and a caretaker. Most recently, Toni resided in Arlington. She enjoyed her career as a pharmacy technician in Fremont. She most enjoyed spending time with her children, spoiling her grandchildren, enjoying meals and games with friends and family. Toni will always be remembered for having a huge heart, a smile that would light up a room and a contagious laugh.

Toni is survived by her children: Matthew Haswell, Victoria (David McMillen) Haswell and Maria Haswell; grandchildren: Christine and Jasper; mother Buni Mason; siblings: Tami Robinson, Tedi (John) Nelson, Garry (Traci) Mason; along with extended family and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Ted Mason, brother-in-law Kris Robinson, grandmothers: Shirley and Ruby.

Toni Larsen of Arlington died Friday night when the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck she was driving lost control on Highway 30 due to icy road conditions, according to multiple news reports.

Larsen’s vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which was being driven by Francisco Avalos Banderas.

Larsen was ejected from her vehicle during the impact, and was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

There was a rain and icy mix on Washington County roads Friday evening and Saturday morning. The area around the Blair Executive Airport Station picked up 0.01 inch of precipitation between 6-7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday night, according to airport data.

Banderas was treated for minor injuries
