Georgia G. Matzen, 91, of Blair, died Aug. 27, 2008, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Georgia G. Antill was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Blair to George and Jennie (Jacobs) Antill.

On Dec. 31, 1932, she married Otto Matzen in Tekamah.

Mrs. Matzen was a lifelong resident of the Blair area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Washington County Historical Association, and was a founding board member of the YMCA.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Bob Wachowicz of Scottsdale; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Liela Matzen of Blair; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; sons, Ronald and Roger; and three sisters, Helen Munk, Arlene Schock, and Mildred Gasser.
