Barbara Ann Culbertson, 69 of Fort Calhoun, passed away on January 26, 2025.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 6, 1955 to Clyne and Almeda Culbertson.

Barbara graduated from Martensdale-St. Marys High School. After graduation she worked at Preferred Risk Insurance. She met Larry Wortman in 1989 and moved to the Omaha, Nebraska area, eventually moving to Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. She worked at Data Axle until her passing.

Barbara loved family, traveling, reading, fishing, crocheting, and other craft related projects.

We all have crocheted afghans that Barbara lovingly made for us. Being a part of go cart racing with her step grandson, Jacob, brought a lot of fun and joy to her life. She spent countless hours maintaining the go cart and preparing it for the next race.

Barb had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her sisters, Sandra(Duane) Isley and Beverly Kubik; step grandson, Jacob Regan; her nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Dennis Culbertson and Rodney Culbertson; and life partner Larry Wortman.
