Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Fredrick Henry Heinssen was born January 11, 1966, at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska. He was the son of Fredrick and Betty (Jensen) Heinssen. He grew up on the Heinssen family farm, 3 miles south of Herman on Hwy 75. Freddie attended and was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Blair and graduated from Blair Community Schools. He loved the freedom of farm living. He also loved fishing, hunting, building forts, riding bikes and then 4-wheelers and motorcycles. Freddie was a man of many talents, including welding, carpentry, mechanics and cooking. He was also a proficient pool player. Freddie made his living as a third-generation American farmer.

He enjoyed raising cattle, especially in the springtime when the new little calves would come. He was good at training dogs to help with sorting, herding cattle and guarding the gate. On August 10, 1991, Freddie married Jacqueline Mundorf Borsh at Country Bible Church near Blair. The couple lived south of Blair for a short time and then moved into a new home on the farm north of Blair where Freddie was raised. To this union two children were born — Lindsay Marie and Fredrick Henry III. Jacqueline died in 2022.

Fredrick is survived by his two children, daughter Lindsay Heinssen of Omaha and son Fredrick Heinssen III of Blair, stepdaughter Jamie Borsh Murphy of Spokane, Washington, mother Betty Heinssen, sister Deborah Heinssen Pence and nephew Kenneth Pence, all of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Ruth Jensen, George and Dorothy Heinssen, his father Fredrick Heinssen Sr., his wife of 32 years Jacqueline and his stepson Jared Borsh.
