EX-BLAIRITE, 38, AN INVALID SINCE HURT IN DRAGLINE ACCIDENT

Robert J. (Bob) Curtis, 38, of 5625 North 29th Street, Omaha, Nebraska, former Blairite, died Monday in an Omaha Hospital.

He had been an invalid several years, since being critically injured when an accident occurred while he was operating a dragline.

Mr. Curtis was graduated from Blair High School in 1931, and resided here for a number of years thereafter. His family lived here at the time.

Surviving him are his wife, Norma; two sons, Raymond M. and Robert G.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Curtis; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Jensen (Helen) and Mrs. Louis Armstead (Florence), and a brother, Albert Curtis. All are Omahans.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Friday at the Crosby-Kunold Mortuary, with cremation to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to Children's Memorial Hospital in lieu of flowers.

Note: in those days, Forest Lawn was the primary crematory around. However, the ashes were not necessarily buried in Forest Lawn, and Forest Lawn does not have a record of Robert Curtis
