Shandy Landon Halverson passed away on February 6, 2025, at age 43 in a traffic accident in Ft. Collins, CO, where he and his immediate family lived.
Shandy had a big heart, and that’s what we loved about him. His love shone brightest for his kids — Thomas, Stephany, Triston, Landon and Shandy Jr. — and he also became a dad to three stepchildren and a son-in-law. Family meant everything to him, and despite life’s challenges, he always cared deeply for those around him.
He is also survived by his partner, Malia; his parents, Eva Engdahl (Rich) and Kenneth Halverson Jr.; his siblings, Raina Garcia (David), Brenda, Kenny, Kursten, Brandon, Courtney Tietz (Ryan), Nicole and Sara Jean; and his stepfather, Dennis Tetu, “Dad,” and stepsister, Sheila.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15th, at 1 p.m., at Kennard Auditorium (305 W 2nd St, Kennard, Nebraska 68034).
Shandy, you will forever live in our hearts.

God, I offer myself to Thee--to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy power, Thy love, and Thy way of life. May I doTthy will always.--Alcoholics Anonymous
