McManigal Died Friday

Daniel McManigal, 79, from near Yankton, South Dakota, former Blair resident died Friday. The body was returned to Blair for burial following services at the Campbell Mortuary Sunday at 1 p.m. The Rev. John P. Brooks, pastor of the first Methodist Church officiated and Clyde Sappenfield sang two numbers during the services.

Mr. McManigal was born in Sciota County, Ohio, July 28, 1863, and came to Blair with his parents when a small boy. He and Effie Ireland of Blair were married in June 1903, and to them were born two children, Lucy and Robert. Mrs. McManigal died January 25, 1936.

Surviving Mr. McManigal is his daughter, Lucy of Rapid City, South Dakota and his son, Robert, now in the U. S. Navy; two brothers, James of Brunswick, Nebraska, and Jesse of Walthill, and one sister, Mrs. Noah Taylor of Hamil, South Dakota.

David McManigal, who died near Yankton, South Dakota on Friday, October 23, was brought to Blair for burial. Services were held on Sunday, October 25, at Campbellā€™s Funeral Home, Rev. John P. Brooks officiating. Clyde Sappenfield sang two hymns. Commitment services were in the Blair cemetery.

Born in Scotia County, Ohio on July 28, 1863, Mr. McManigal moved to Washington County with his parents when still a child and lived here for many years. He was married to Effie Ireland of Blair in June, 1903, and two children were born to them, Lucy and Robert. Mrs. McManigal died on January 25, 1936.

He leaves to mourn him a daughter, Lucy McManigal of Rapid City, South Dakota; a son, Robert, in the U.S. Navy; two brothers, James of Brunswick, Nebraska; and Jess of Walthill; a sister, Mrs. Noah Taylor of Hamill, South Dakota.

Note: The first name in the Enterprise seems to be incorrect.
