Janet was born May 9, 1945, in West Point, Nebraska, the daughter of Clem and Helen (Stalp) Timmerman. She grew up on the family farm outside of Dodge, Nebraska. In 1963 she graduated High School from Assumption Academy in Norfolk, Nebraska then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She worked at the University of Nebraska at Omaha then met Clarence Brunnert and the couple were united in marriage on January 22, 1972.
Janet prided herself in keeping a lovely home and together Clarence and Janet raised their two children. She was an avid gardener, baker and an exemplary grandmother. She loved keeping up with her grandchildren's activities and cheering them on in all their endeavors. She will always be remembered for her strawberry rhubarb jam, rhubarb crisp, and yummy dinners. Janet enjoyed sewing, celebrating the seasons with decoration, bird watching hummingbirds, wrens and orioles, researching genealogy, and let's not forget she loved a good shopping trip.
Janet was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and was devout in her faith.
