MRS. MCMANIGAL IS BURIED HERE

Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Blair, Monday, for Mrs. Dan McManigal of Hamill, South Dakota, former Blairite, who died at Winter Saturday. The Rev. H. S. Souter officiated. Intermit was in the Blair Cemetery.

Born at Leon, Iowa, March 31, 1873, as Effie E. Ireland. Mrs. McManigal was 62 years of age at the time of her passing. At the age of thirteen she came to Nebraska with her parents and resided in a homestead in the western part of the state until 1894 when the Irelands moved to Blair. She was married to Dan McManigal in 1903. In 1915 the McManigal moved to Glenwood, Iowa, and from there to the present home in Hamill.

Surviving are husband and two children, Mrs. Lucy Baur of Tabor, South Dakota, and Robert McManigal of Hamill; three brothers, Jonathan Preston Ireland of Omaha; O. M. of Fort Calhoun and Charles W. of Norfolk.

MRS. DAN McMANIGAL

Mrs. Dan McManigal of Hamill, South Dakota passed away at a hospital in Winner, South Dakota on January 25th following a long illness which resulted some time back in the amputation of a limb. After the operation she seemed to recover, but it was only temporary, and she was soon stricken again and was taken back to the hospital where she passed away.

Miss Effie Ireland was for a long term of years a resident of Blair where she still has many relatives and friends who mourn her death. At her death she was sixty two years of age. She was married to Dan McManigal on June 30, 1903, and later the family moved to Hamill, South Dakota where the husband and family still make their home.

Deceased was a member of the Christian church and lived a clean, conscientious life and was devoted to her family, leaving the husband and a son and daughter who mourn deeply her death.

Besides the immediate family, she leaves three brothers, Preston Ireland of Florence, O.M. of Fort Calhoun and Charles of Norfolk, all who join in sympathy and grief with the bereaved family.

The body was brought to Blair for interment, the funeral services being held in the Christian church last Monday, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.
