Evelyn "Evy" Kumm, 75 of Blair, NE. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Crain III; two aunts, and one uncle.
Survivors include husband, Randall Kumm of Blair; son, Daryl and Ann Kumm of Beaver Lake, NE; son, Bryan and Katie Kumm of Omaha, NE; daughter, Sarah Joo Kumm of Blair, NE; seven grandchildren; brother, Edward B. and Pearl Crain III of Walla Walla, WA; and many friends and other relatives also survive her.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE with burial to follow at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wisner, NE.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Victory Church-Omaha at 56th and Sorensen Parkway in Omaha, NE with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be from 10 a.m., until service time on Monday at the church.

Evelyn “Evy” Kumm, age 75 of Blair, NE, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE.
Visitation was on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE, with burial at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wisner, NE. Memorial services were held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Victory Church-Omaha at 56th & Sorensen Parkway in Omaha, NE. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point assisted with the arrangements.
Evelyn Carol Kumm was born on February 25, 1950, in Elmo, MO, to Edward B. and Helen B. (Pruitt) Crain, Jr. She was baptized and confirmed at the Northboro Methodist Church in Northboro, IA, and belonged to its Methodist Youth Fellowship. Evelyn attended Northboro Elementary School and graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1968. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Peru State College in Peru, NE, and obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, NE.
On Oct. 24, 1975, she was united in marriage to Randall Kumm at the Methodist Church in Marengo, IA. Evy started her teaching career in Plattsmouth, NE, and taught at several schools in the Omaha Public School District before embarking on a long career in private Christian Schools until her retirement. Evy also had homeschooled for a couple of years.
Evy was an active member of Victory Church in Omaha and was a strong advocate for Pro Life. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, was an avid reader, and spent time with family and friends. She loved Jesus and was a prayer warrior. In her youth, she loved riding horses at her grandparents’ farm and in parades. Most of all spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, was the highlight of any day.
Survivors include: Husband Randall Kumm of Blair, NE; Son: Daryl and Ann Kumm of Beaver Lake, NE; and children: Liam, Aiden, Wesley, and Dustin; Son: Bryan and Katie Kumm of Omaha, NE; and children: Josephine, Bethany and Anthina; Daughter: Sarah Joo Kumm of Blair, NE
Brother: Edward B. and Pearl Crain III of Walla Walla, WA; Many friends and other relatives also survive her.
