Mike was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the youngest of 3 children. He grew up in a loving home in South Omaha and was a graduate of Gross Catholic High School. He was a career Steamfitter with the Local 464 for over 40 years.
Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, step-father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was happiest spending time together as a family, especially in the outdoors.
He loved the simple things in life. The sight of a bald eagle flying across the sky, spotting dear in a field 100 miles away, hummingbirds, shooting stars, and stumbling across a goldmine of morel mushrooms and sharing them with family and friends all brought joy.
More than anything, Mike loved his family. Mike met Nancy in the spring of 2017, and married June 1, 2024. Their families blended seamlessly as though they had known each other forever.
Mike was steady and loyal to everyone in his life. Life slowed down a bit when you were together--appreciating the easy, simple, and free things in life. His memory will live on in a beautiful sunset, a gentle breeze, the changing of the seasons, and the consistency of the river currents.
Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Cecelia Jaber, sister Paula Jaber, and endearing aunt, Viola Jaber.
He leaves his wife, Nancy, daughter Christine Jaber (Kyle Schicker), son Ryan Jaber, sister Nancy Jaber (Orinda, California), stepchildren, Abigail (Levi) Turner, Joshua (Karla Drennen and grandchildren Henry and James Turner.
Michael's family wish to thank the many family and friends for all the love and support received during this difficult time.
