Ronald (Ron) Lee Hindley of Omaha, NE, passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 74.
Ron was born in Omaha on July 21, 1950, to Lyle & Margaret (Wrich) Hindley of Herman, NE. He graduated from Blair High School in 1968. He received a bachelor's degree from UNL as well as an associate's degree from Southeast Community College of Milford, NE, in the following years. Ron was united in marriage with Brenda Lynn Ure on September 26, 1977. They moved to Omaha in 1979 where they proceeded to build a home for themselves and their three children.
Ron spent the majority of his career on his passion for automobiles as an automotive technician and retired after nearly 50 years in December 2021. Along with his love for cars, he was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ralston, NE, helping where he could. He especially loved manning the grill for the annual 4th of July food stand wearing his patriotic bibs. Ron enjoyed his retirement years camping, tinkering in the garage, and going on Ranger Station outings with his children, son-in-law and grandson.
Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Hindley; sons Jason and Matthew Hindley of Omaha; daughter Amanda (Justin) Russell of Stanton, IA; grandchildren Oliver and Lilyanna Russell; and sister Diane (Gary) Kubicek of Firth, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a Luncheon/Visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, with a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 8009 Q St., Ralston, NE.
