Mrs. Clara Crounse, Wife of Ex-Omaha Publisher, Is Dead
Burlingame, California (AP)—Mrs. Clara Crounse, wife of a former publisher of the Omaha World-Herald, died in a hospital Sunday after a long illness.
Her husband was William Crounse. They moved to Burlingame 26 years ago after he had retired from the post of president of the World-Herald Publishing company. He and a brother-in-law, the late U.S. Senator Gilbert M. Hitchcock had headed the company for many years.
A sister of Mrs. Crounse, Mrs. Anna Dalve, lives in Redwood City near here.
Funeral services will be here Tuesday.

Mrs. Crounse Dies in Burlingame, California
Mrs. Clara Crounse, wife of William Crounse, former publisher of The World-Herald, died Saturday night in a San Mateo, California hospital. She had lived at nearby Burlingame, California for 26 years.
Mr. Crounse and his brother-in-law, the late Senator Gilbert M. Hitchcock, headed The World-Herald for many year.
Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Anna Dalve, of Redwood City, California.
Funeral will be at 10am Tuesday at Crosby-Gray and Company Chapel in Burlingame. The body will be cremated.
