Betty L. Heun, 74, of Fremont, Nebraska passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Dunklau Gardens surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 6, 1950, in Sac City, Iowa to Everett and Beatrice (Peters) Minnmann.

Betty grew up in the Sac City area and later married Edward E. Heun on April 21, 1967. They moved to West Point, NE in 1969 where they raised their three children. In 1991, they moved to Fremont, NE. Betty was a people person and enjoyed meeting new people. She loved reading, cooking and baking, taking car rides, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Tammi (Tom) McElroy and Connie (Randy) Schuetze all of Fremont; son, Tim (Heather) Heun of Watertown, MN; sister, Junella Wesselink of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Jon (Virginia) Minnmann of Sac City, IA; grandchildren, Tyer, Jake, Brandon, Amber, Jordan, Jack, Maris and Ava; and great-grandchildren, Alleecia, Addalynn, Brenten, Lucas, Fitzgerald, Dagny, Owen, and Olive; and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; and brothers, Lynn Minnmann and Kim Minnmann.

Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Fremont Alliance Church in Fremont. Visitation will be on Friday, March 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery Arlington, NE.
