Marvin Dale Micheels, 96, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on March 29, 2024.

Born in Omaha on November 30, 1927 to Edmund and Bertha Micheels, Marv grew up in Florence with two brothers, Edmund Jr. and Jack. He graduated from Tech High School and moved to Wyoming to work on a ranch before enlisting in the Army during WWII.

Upon returning, he entered the rodeo and in doing so, met his future wife, Charlotte Spencer Micheels. They married on June 28, 1952 and had two children. Marv started his own construction company, Micheels Construction and worked until the age of 93.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Charlotte; his two children, Paula (Doug) Engen and Greg (Kathy) Micheels; grandchildren Steve (Maria) Engen, Laura (Tim) Willey, Molly, Sarah and Scott Micheels; step-grandchildren Adam (Jen) Vogltanz, Amy Vogltanz; four great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and many other family and friends.

A small SERVICE and BURIAL was held in Fort Calhoun on April 6, 2024 with full military honors.
