#1 From obituary printed in the August 26, 2025 Pilot-Tribune John P. Caskey John P. Caskey of Blair, Nebraska, went home to be greeted by his Lord on Aug. 21, 2025. He is joining his parents, Ivan and Melvina Caskey, his best friend and brother Tim, sister Lucy and husband Jim, infant brother Darrell, and niece Marty Jo.

Left here to miss him are his wife of 61 years, Jocelyn; daughter Becky (Frank) Hurley of Des Moines and granddaughter Libby Hurley; son Steve of Omaha; sisters-in-law Gladys Caskey of Fremont and Jennifer Cary of Phoenix; along with many nephews, nieces and extended family.

John will be remembered as a person who never met a stranger, was pretty sure he knew everything, lived to give you a bad time, and would do all in his power to help you. He was a successful salesman for Productivity Inc. for over 30 years, making friends in the business community. All who knew him will miss his presence. A brief graveside service will be held at the Hooper Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at First Lutheran Church in Blair at 1 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Blair Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
