Connie L. Dahlgren, of Blair, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born June 29, 1943, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Evelyn Powell and Robert Powell.

Connie attended Omaha Tech High School, graduating in the Class of 1961. On December 2, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Dahlgren. Ronnie and Connie raised two children, Scott Allen and Daniel Lee, and were married for nearly 60 years.

Connie established a long career in the trucking industry, working as an equipment controller for Herman Bros. for many years. She retired from TransWood Carriers in 1997, and moved to The Lake of the Ozarks, where her and Ronnie's summers were spent on the water buckling life jackets and spreading sunscreen on grandkids.

In 2001, Ron and Connie moved to The Villages, Florida, where they enjoyed warm weather, palm trees and many Happy Hours with an ever-growing group of friends.

Connie moved back to Blair after Ron's passing in 2021 and spent the last four years loving on her great-grandchildren.

An avid golfer with the hole-in-ones to prove her proficiency, Connie enjoyed good food, boating and traveling. Her and Ron visited many wonderful places and turned their last 20 years together into one big adventure. Connie possessed an incredible ability to see the positive in everything. She was an easygoing optimist, with an unwavering sense of humor and a laugh that was both big and contagious. Connie's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were, by and far, her pride and joy.

More than anything else, Connie loved spending time with family and friends.

Connie is survived by her son, Daniel (Molly) Dahlgren, daughter-in-law Kathy Dahlgren; grandchildren: Tyler (Alyssa) Dahlgren, Emily (Andrew) Plagge, Zach (Taylor) Dahlgren, Jake (Katie) Dahlgren and Erika (Jackson) Dunn; great grandsons: Micah, Walker and Charles; great granddaughter Avery; brother-in-law James (Karen) Dahlgren, sister-in-law Pamela Dahlgren-Bush, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, son Scott, mother Evelyn Powell, brother Roger, sister-in-law Barbara, nephew Steven, father Robert, brother-in-law Rex.
