Arlu P. Hindley, age 103 of Blair, passed away September 3, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Arlu was born December 24, 1921, to Leo Frederick and Amelia Anna (Deitcherler) Jurgens. She was raised on a farm outside Mineola, Iowa, with her three siblings, and attended country school.

On April 7, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Glen Hindley in Mineola, Iowa. The couple made their home in Blair, Nebraska. Arlu enjoyed sewing, canning, baking and being an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

Arlu was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, son David Carl Hindley, brothers Rudolph Jurgens and Harvey Jurgens and sister Ada Jurgens, grandson Bradley Hindley and son-in-law Don Smith.

She is survived by her children: Shirley Jean Smith of Fairport, N.Y., Keith (Dolly) Hindley of Blair, Kevin (Pam) Hindley of Blair, Deloris Hindley of Ozark, AR, Glen Hindley of Fort Smith, AR, Robin McNutt of Ozark, AR; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and the caregivers who she deeply loved at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community.
