M. Carol "Coondog" Moore, 69, of Tekamah, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at the Tekamah Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 8, at the Herman Legion Hall with Father Lyle Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Milford Carol Moore, better known as "Coondog," was born August 14, 1932, in Blair to Benjamin and Laura (Campbell) Moore. He lived in the Washington and Burt County areas all of his life. He worked in the construction industry until becoming a commercial hunter for the Riverfront Hunt Club in the 1970"s.

He is survived by his life partner, Rosie Smith of Tekamah, five children and their spouses, Susan Smith, Linda and Richard Uhing, Cindy and John Dewhurst, and Steven Moore, all of Tekamah, Ruth and Bob Warrick of Blair, three brothers and their spouses, Ronald and Sharlene Moore, Floyd "Beaner" and Rosie Moore, and Dale and Judy Moore, and a sister and brother-in-law, Colleen "Kay" and Harold Kephart, all of Blair, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Bertie "Joe" and Edward Moore.
