10/29/1940 - 01/13/2025

On Monday, January 13, my dear sweet mother, confidante and best friend passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Despite the many physical challenges she was faced with, she always remained positive, grateful and thankful for this wonderful life. One of the most patient and selfless people I know, always concerned with the welfare of others over herself. I feel so blessed that I had the privilege of being raised by this wonderful woman who was so humble yet so strong. She would always say don't worry be happy, take one day at a time and pray, pray, pray! Her unwavering devotion to God, faith in his inspired word the Bible, and solid hope in all of his promises for the future, provided the strength and peace she needed to cope with life's many challenges. These are the things that brought much comfort when we lost our Papa and my son Eric.

God promises: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you." (Isaiah 41:10) A person who knows that Jehovah cares about him has peace of mind and the strength to deal with various trials. The apostle Paul called this inner calmness "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding." Paul added: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power."—Philippians 4:4-7, 9, 13.

The Bible makes the invitation explicit, saying: "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." (James 4:8)

He promises that those "powerless in death" will live again. (Isaiah 26:19)

She now rests in peace and will be missed by many until we meet again in the promised paradise she so earnestly hoped and prayed for.
