Funeral services will be held today for Harvey Stanley, 66, of Elkhorn, a onetime Washington County resident.
The funeral will be held at 1:30pm today (Thursday) at the Swanson Funeral Home in Elkhorn, and at 3pm at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Fort Calhoun Cemetery, with Masonic graveside rituals.
Surviving Mr. Stanley are his wife, Frieda; two daughters, Mrs. Roger Hender of Huntington Park, California, and Mrs. Theodore Harker of Odessa, Missouri; three sons, Floyd of Council Bluffs, Austin W. of Napa, California, and John of Valley; two brothers, Lester and Walter Stanley of near Blair.

Harvey A. Stanley, age 66, of Elkhorn, died in an Omaha hospital Monday evening, September 24, 1951, where he had been taken that day.
Surviving are his wife, Frieda; daughters, Mrs. Roger Hender, Huntington Park, California; Mrs. Theodore Harker, Odessa, Missouri; sons, Floyd, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Austin W., Napa, California; John, Valley; brothers, Lester and Walter, and sister Edith, all of Blair.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at 1:30 o'clock from the Swanson Funeral Home in Elkhorn to the Presbyterian Church at Fort Calhoun at three o'clock. Rev. Dale Kamrath of the Valley Baptist-Presbyterian church, officiated. Masonic graveside services were in charge of the Waterloo Lodge with T.E. Denker, Worshipful Master, presiding.
Mrs. Morton Steyer of Florence sang, "Abide With Me", and "When They Ring Those Golden Bells for Me" accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Ralph Steyer of Blair.
Burial was in Fort Calhoun cemetery.
