WILLIAM HENRICHSEN BURIED AT CALHOUN

Burial was in Fort Calhoun Cemetery yesterday afternoon for 79-year-old William Henrichsen, Sr., of Manawa, Iowa. Mr. Henrichsen, who had resided at Plattsmouth, Nebraska 50 years before moving to Council Bluffs, Iowa two years ago, died Saturday in an Omaha, Nebraska hospital.

W. Henrichsen Rites Tuesday at Plattsmouth

Funeral services for William Martin Henrichsen, 79, will be held at the Sattler Funeral Chapel in Plattsmouth on Tuesday, September 20, at 1:30pm. Rev. Harold Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska will conduct the rites. Burial will be in Fort Calhoun cemetery at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.

Mr. Henrichsen, a one-time chief of police at Plattsmouth, died at an Omaha hospital Saturday.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1875 at Davenport, Iowa, the son of John and Wilhelmina Wulf Henrichsen. He was married on June 17, 1907 at Fort Calhoun to Jessie Jipp, who preceded him in death on March 1, 1949. He had lived his lifetime in Plattsmouth, except for the last two years when he lived with his son, William, at Lake Manawa, Iowa. He and his brother, Louis, operated the Brown Park Mineral Springs in South Omaha.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Straka, Omaha, and one son, William Jr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa. One sister, Mrs. Annie Moeller of Grant, Nebraska, survives along with two brothers, Louis of Omaha and Henry of Blair. A sister and a brother preceded him in death.

Visiting hours at the Sattler Funeral Home in Plattsmouth have been set as 7-9pm today (Monday).
