Candra (Candy) J. Latwaitis, 69, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Hastings, Nebraska, on April 20, 1956, Candy lived a life defined by kindness, compassion and an unwavering love for others. She married the love of her life, Ted Latwaitis, on July 11, 1987, and together they raised two children who were her greatest pride and joy.
Candy's selfless spirit touched everyone she met. She was the first to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or make sure no one ever felt forgotten. She had a heart as big as her laugh — and a knack for turning ordinary days into cherished memories. She adored her granddaughters, Adilyn and Elsie, and found endless joy in being their grandma.
Known for her love of clowns and giraffes, Candy had a playful and joyful spirit that brightened every room. She lived each day with a quiet strength, an open heart, and an unshakable devotion to her family.
Candy is survived by her husband, Ted Latwaitis; her sisters, Denise Stromer and Holly Latwaitis; her children, Hope Acker (Derek Acker) and David Latwaitis; her beloved granddaughters, Adilyn and Elsie; and many family members and friends who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
A celebration of Candra’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at PassageWay Church. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
