Timothy “Dean” Hansen, age 65, of Blair, passed away November 3, 2025. A celebration of life will be held November 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
Dean was born on February 27, 1960, in Blair, Nebraska, the son of Ronald and Erma (Kersey) Hansen. He was raised in Blair until the age of 10, when the family moved to Imperial, Nebraska. The family remained in Imperial for 4 years until they moved back to Blair.
Dean always treasured his time in western Nebraska and remembered it fondly. He graduated from Blair High School in 1978. While growing up he learned the value of hard work while working with his father and grandfather at Hansen Tree Farm, spending many of his summers on the farm. Over the years the majority of his career was spent with Huntel Telephone Properties. His last career was with Corbion on the Cargill Campus.
Dean truly loved spending time at the Lake Of The Ozarks with family and friends, and driving ATVs, motorcycles and fast cars. He was truly skilled working with his hands. He could rewire anything and make any motor run. One could say that Dean truly had nine lives and always lived by his own rules.
He is survived by his siblings; Kimberly (Bernie) Kostrunek, Brenda Foster, Wendy Pape and Terry (Sandi) Hansen; aunts Gwen Doeden, Joyce Kersey and Marlene Hansen; many nieces and nephews, extended family and countless friends.
