Carolyn J. Schuerman, 93, passed away on November 16, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1931, in Beatrice, NE, to Arthur and Mabel (Frey) Ruhnke. She was united in marriage to Dale Schuerman on June 26, 1949. Carolyn was a member of First Plymouth Church and P.E.O. Chapter K.

Family includes her children Nancy (Dallas) Kiburz of Lincoln and Jeanne (Lloyd) Scheve of Blair, NE; grandchildren. Adam (Andrea Reynolds) Kiburz, Joseph (Lisa Marie) Scheve, Emily (Brian) Grimes and Lisa Ann Scheve (Fiancé Derek Kowal); great-grandchildren Elias Grimes, Carly Kiburz, Henry Scheve, Caden and Callahan Kowal; sister Maril (Gordon) Freese.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, brother Darrel and an infant brother.

A determined German, Carolyn was adamant on not having a "Funeral". The family will gather with friends from 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Pilgrim Hall, at First Plymouth Church, 2000 D. St., Lincoln, NE. Memorials may be given to the First Plymouth Music Program/Abendmusik.
