Schafersman Funeral Set
Mrs. Mary Schafersman, 78, Found Dead at Her Home at Telbasta
Mrs. Mary Schafersman, 78, lifetime resident of the same neighborhood in Washington County, was found dead at her home at Telbasta early yesterday, apparently the victim of a heart attack.
As Mary Flake, she was born near Spiker January 19, 1878, and was married November 22, 1899 to Ed Schafersman. He operated the Telbasta Store until his death on December 27, 1937.
Mrs. Schafersman is survived by two sons, Clarence and Cester, who now operate the store, and one daughter, Mrs. Richard Melvard (Vera) of Arlington. There are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as a brother, Fred Flake of Blair, and four sisters, Mrs. Ella Nelson of Blair, Mrs. Frank Kruger (Emily) of Arlington, Mrs. Clara Gosker of near Telbasta and Mrs. Louise Bockerman of Arapahoe, Nebraska.
The William Reckmeyer & Son Funeral Home of Arlington announces that there will be brief rites at its chapel at 1:30 pm Saturday, followed at 2:30pm by services at the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Telbasta.
