Helen Sheets, of Blair, passed away November 28, 2025, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Helen Janet (Andersen) Sheets was born on October 22, 1933, at the family home in rural Washington County to Christian and Antoinette Andersen. Helen went to Gardner Country School and Blair schools.

She married Clarence Sheets on Oct. 22, 1951. They had three children. Helen was a daycare provider for many years and worked at Dana College and DL Blair before retiring. She was a member of the Ladies’ Blair Jaycees and in a bowling league for many years in Blair.

Helen is survived by Clarence, her husband of 74 years, her children: Janice (Tom) Van Slyke of Blair, Betty (Charles) Pille of Lincoln, and Larry (Amy Godshall) of Tennessee; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Clay) Paulsen, Nikoline Lunzman, Christie (Mike) Smith, Jeff (Lisa) Van Slyke, Allen Pille, Anna Pille, Evan (Alexa) Pille, Jackie Sheets, Ashley (Chad) Wolff, Kyle Sheets, Savannah (Ethan) McConnell; 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Dale (Brenda) Andersen and Duane Andersen, brother-in-law Bob (Connie) Sheets, and sisters-in-law Nila Haggard and Susie Christensen.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Claire Andersen, brothers Howard, Daryl and Gene Andersen and sisters Arlene Dudley, Norma Truhlsen, Alice Plummer and Janice Andersen.

Memorials may be directed to the Blair Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
