Age 13y, 11m, 8d. The name, William Minor, could be a different way of calling him "William, Jr.", as "Minor" is not an ordinary middle name.

His father, William Benton Fagg, married Mary Lanora Fenton in September 1871. William Minor was their second child. William and Mary apparently divorced, and while living for a time in Iowa, William married Harriet Webb in December 1887. They had their first child, Bernice, in August 1888.

William Minor, the child from William Benton Fagg's first marriage, lived to nearly 14 years of age, but passed away from an unknown cause in July 1889. He was buried at Colby-Morley.

William and Harriet's second child, Ray, was born just five months later, in December 1889. However, he died at just over one year of age in January 1891.

Ray was also buried at Colby-Morley, and the marker for the two children shows both of their names.
