Lisa Kay (Griffin) Stork, 65, of Tekamah, Nebraska, passed away on November 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Reach Church, Blair, Nebraska, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the stories that keep her spirit alive.
Lisa was born on August 2, 1960, in Bossier City, Louisiana, and later made her home in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before settling in Tekamah with her husband, Henry Stork. Lisa graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Morningside University and Dana College.
She formed many lifelong friendships throughout her years in school. At just 16, Lisa began her first job, selling Avon, showing early on her dedication and hard-working spirit. Lisa built a meaningful and varied career. She worked in real estate, helping families find places to call home, and later served her community as a respiratory therapist at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska, where her compassion and skill touched countless lives.
Lisa’s passions extended far beyond her professional life. She loved traveling to Cozumel, Mexico, where she enjoyed scuba diving, and she cherished hiking in the mountains of Colorado, immersing herself in the beauty of nature. Lisa enjoyed attending events like Nebraska football games and The Avett Brothers concerts. She was also known for her cooking and baking, delighting family and friends with her meals and treats.
Lisa had a lifelong love of animals, volunteering at the Jeannie Hunt Animal Shelter in Blair, and adored her cats and dogs. Additionally, she enjoyed refinishing furniture and antiques, bringing new life to treasured pieces in her home. Above all, Lisa was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her mother, JoEllen Griffin; her children, Jon (Sara) Alexander, Caleb Alexander, John Stork and Anna Stork; and her beloved grandchildren Karsten, Trent and Janie Alexander, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stork, and her son, Lee Alexander, whom she now joins in eternal rest. Those who knew Lisa will remember her for her strength, kindness, humor, love of cooking and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
Her legacy lives on in the family she loved deeply, in the animals she cared for, and in the many lives she touched through her work, passions and generous spirit.
