Janice L. Fisher, age 62 of Tekamah, passed away on December 29, 2025 in Columbus, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Monday January 5, 2026, at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah. Following the funeral graveside services will be held at 1:30PM at the Omaha National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday January 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Janice was born February 23, 1963 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of James F. and Wanda M. (Willits) Jones. As a child Janice enjoyed playing with dolls. She and her siblings spent many days riding the beloved horse Stormy. She graduated from Blair Community Schools, class of 1981. After high school she had a passion for cooking and worked very hard spreading joy and love through food.
On August 12, 1982, Janice was united in marriage to Kenneth Fisher. Together they raised two children, Patricia and Kenneth Jr. She also had a special place in her heart for Shannon and Jessica Fisher. Janice always put her family first.
She kept a beautiful flower garden and plant collection, her flowers were always radiant and beautiful, just as she was. Thrifting and garage sales were some of her favorite pastimes, if there wasn't a baby around to hold and adore. Janice also went on many fishing and camping adventures with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family, husband Kenneth Sr., daughter Patricia (Adam) Egan, daughter-in-law Ashley Fisher; grandchildren: Asa Harvey Egan, Braylon Fisher; step-grandchildren: Shawn, Tia, Cedrick, Tye, Lariette, and Lilly and two great grandchild; her mother Wanda Jones; brothers: James E. (Elizabeth) Jones, Kenneth W. (Peggy) Jones, Emma (Clifford Blair) Najar; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father James F. Jones and son Kenneth J. Fisher Jr.
