Herman C. Melotz, 75, a retired farmer, died Saturday afternoon in his home near Florence, Nebraska. He leaves his wife, Amelia; two sons, Paul of Florence and Clarence of Irvington, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Nichols of Fairbanks, Texas; Mrs. V.F. Hasselquist of Omaha, Nebraska and Dorothy Melotz of Florence; two brothers, Ernest of Florence, Indiana and J.W. of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Detmer of Rising Sun, Indiana and Mrs. Lavina Steward of Omaha, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced by the Glendale Mortuary.
