Bruce L. Brown

Bruce L. Brown, age 71, of Arlington, Nebraska, passed away on January 15, 2026, in Fremont. He was born on May 9, 1954, in Fremont to Donald E. and Betty “Carletta” (Kincanon) Brown.

Bruce grew up on the family farm and attended Arlington Public Schools before graduating from Wanamingo High School in Minnesota in 1972. He married LaRita Wallaker in 1972 and later Cindy Burris in 1984; both marriages ended in divorce. He married Elizabeth “Beth” Diggs in August 2008.

Bruce spent most of his life as a truck driver, traveling millions of miles across the country. He enjoyed sports, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and treasured time with his loyal dog, Rex.

He is survived by his children Heather (Marc) Fredrickson, Anthony (Deanne) Brown, Justin (Chelsea) Brown, Danielle (Casey) Grivy, and Kyle (Holli Jackson) Brown; stepdaughter Angela Kinkead; siblings William “Bill” (Patty) Brown and Amy Brown; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Brown; parents, Donald Brown and Carletta Stoll; and stepson Douglas “DJ” Kinkead Jr.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Arlington City Cemetery in Arlington.
