Leota Lenore (Miller, Wiese) Cowan, age 82 of Blair, passed away February 4, 2026. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Private graveside services will be held in the Blair Cemetery.

Leota was born August 13, 1943, to William Leslie Miller and Madeline Lenore (Burbank) Miller. Leota attended school in Blair, NE, and IA.

Leota married Chester William Wiese on June 18, 1960, and the couple were married for 30 years and were blessed with their children Tena and Chester Jr. before his passing in 1990.

Leota later married William D. Cowan on September 22, 1994. They were married for 25 years before he passed away. Leota worked different jobs throughout her life but her favorite was as a florist, arranging flowers.

Leota leaves her brother Leslie P. (Janice) Miller of Blair, NE, brother George (Patricia) Miller of Omaha, NE; daughter Tena Boucher of Blair, NE; son Chet Wiese of Blair, NE; son Jay (Susan) Cowan of Wheatland, WY; son Christian (Helen) Cowan of Yearington, NV; daughter Vickie (Tim) Lewis of Guernsey, WY; grandchildren Devon (Crystal) Davis, Jennifer (Terry) Wiese, Natosha (Dakota) Miller, Jason, Levi and Haley Cowan, Katie Cowan, Travis Lewis and Wendy Vergil. Great grandchildren Seth, Graysen, Rykir, Savana, Elias, Tyrus, Tyler, Tommy, Declan, Falen, Alexis, Natalie, Shonosi, Callie, Aaliyah, Milo, Finn, Garrett, Aubree, Nolan, and a great-great grandchild and sister-in-law Leanna Metz.

Leota was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Chester Wiese Sr., second husband William Cowan, sister-in-law Bonnie (Cowan) and Marvin Johnson, sister-in-law Alice (Cowan) Sheets and Leroy Sheets, and sister-in-law Peggy (Cowan) and Neil Reed.
