Marva Doran Allison, 56, of Tekamah died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at her home.

Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah with the Rev. Charity Forbes officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Marva Doran Allison was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Plainview to William "Fritz" and Martha (Miller) Lambert.

She was baptized in Foster and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah. She attended several area schools while growing up, and graduated from Tekamah High School in 1963.

On Jan. 26, 1964, she was married to Allyn Ray Allison. The couple had two daughters. Mrs. Allison was a devoted wife and mother.

In 1980, the family moved to Bemidji, Minn., where Mrs. Allison was employed in the food service department for the Bemidji School District. Mr. and Mrs. Allison moved back to Tekamah in November, 2000.

Mrs. Allison is survived by her husband, Allyn of Tekamah, daughters, Tammy Allison of Tekamah, and Vicky Hegg of Red Wing, Minn., two grandchildren, her mother, Martha Lambert of Oakland, brother and sister-in-law, Boyd and Dixie Lambert of Kennard, sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly Knight of Craig, Kay and Ken Elsasser of Oakland, mother-in-law, Trina Allison of Tekamah, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William "Fritz" Lambert, father-in-law, Orville Allison, and brother-in-law, Don Allison.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
