Guy Raymond Stricklett passed away at his home on November 16, 1975, at the age of 60.

Guy was born on a farm southeast of Blair, Neb. He grew to manhood on farms in South Dakota. He lived in the Geneva area at the time his father, the Reverend Lyle Stricklett, was a minister at a country church nearby. He returned to Blair and later married Charlotte Baker on July 2, 1941. They became the parents of two daughters, Judith Elaine and Nancy Louise. His life was spent caring for his family, friends, and neighbors.

Guy is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughter and son-in-law, Don and Judy Magill of Ft Calhoun; daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Nancy Berggren of Fairmont; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother Rose of Blair; a brother Erwin, of Omaha; sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Margaret) Trisdale, Mrs. Fred (Elsie) Steffen and Bessie of Blair and Mrs. Raymond (Verna) Johnson of York.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle; a brother Rolan; sisters, Merle and Agnes, and granddaughter, Susan Kay Berggren.

Services were held on November 18, 1975, at 2:00 p.m. at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair with burial in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carlo Kastrup, John Mackin, Dennis Cleaver, Randy Magill and Daniel Magill.

Guy R. Stricklett, a resident of Washington County and Blair all of his life, died at his home last Sunday, November 16. Mr. and Mrs. Stricklett lived at 1303 Nebraska Street. The deceased was born at DeSoto, a few miles from Blair, on June 16, 1916. He was 60 years old. He was married to Charlotte Baker and the couple lived at the above address. He was a machine operator at Nebraska Engineering Co. in Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, and by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Judy) Magill, of Ft. Calhoun and by Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Berggren, of Fairmont, Nebraska. There are 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Rose Stricklett, also of Blair; a brother, Erwin Stricklett lives in Omaha. Three sisters live in Blair. They are Elsie Steffan, Bessie Stricklett and Margaret Trisdale. Another sister, Verna Johnson, lives at York, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., November 18th. The Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Carlo Kastrup, John Mackin, Leonard Kouma, Randal Magill, Daniel Magill and Dennis Cleaver.
