Allen Richard Trumble, age 87 of Herman, passed away March 8, 2026, at his home in rural Herman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 13, 2026, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. A time of fellowship will follow the funeral at the church. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the Herman Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday March 12, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair, with a Masonic service at 8:00 P.M.

Allen was born on January 11, 1939, the son of Floyd and Gertrude (Love) Trumble in Omaha, Nebraska. He was raised in Papillion, Nebraska, on the family farm. He attended and graduated from Papillion High School in 1956. After high school he attended Agricultural School at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, graduating with a degree in Animal Husbandry. While in college he was a member of the AGR fraternity.

After college Allen joined the Army Reserves. On June 22, 1962, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Richards in Omaha, Nebraska. After their marriage the couple made their home on the family farm in Papillion. In 1965, the couple moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for four years, for his employment with Wilson and Company. In January of 1972, the couple welcomed their first of two children and moved to their permanent home in rural Herman. Three years later they welcomed their second child.

Over the years Allen was a member of the Farm Bureau, a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Blair, and a Master Mason with the Herman and Blair Masonic Lodges. Allen farmed in rural Herman for over 40 years. He cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. He will always be remembered for his smile and warm hugs.

He is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 63 years; daughter Sue (Scott) Jacobsen of Herman and son Richard (Kelly) Trumble of Pagosa Springs, CO; grandchildren Thomas Carey of Conway, AR, Thane (Rachel) Trumble of Lubbock, TX, Tielar (Kolton) Jacobsen of Blair, Colin Trumble of Pagosa Springs, CO, Tristan Jacobsen of Herman, Alexis Kreikemeier of Herman, along with great-granddaughter Charlotte Fleischman of Blair, sisters-in-law Bette Trumble and Sue Richards; honorary family Elle Willis, Andres Willis and Leslie Mills, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Charlotte (Dean) Sunde, brother Dwight Trumble and brother-in-law Don Richards.
