Dennis Charles Nelson, 73, of Fort Calhoun passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.
Born on December 2 in Omaha, he was a beloved brother, uncle and great uncle, and a true friend to many. Dennis touched many lives, particularly through his passion for classic cars, Nebraska sports, and all things Elvis. He is survived by his sisters, Patty Appel of Fort Calhoun; Pam (Lenny) Swanger of Omaha; Nieces Michelle (Ritchie) Nelson of Fort Calhoun and Lisa (Craig) Weber of Omaha; Nephew, Jeff Appel of Fort Calhoun and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chuck & Leah Jane Nelson and brother-in-law Doug Appel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery in Fort Calhoun.
