Thomas was born on October 20th, 1938 and passed away on May 18th, 2026at the age of 87

Thomas Urwin, age 87 of Blair, passed away May 18, 2026, at Carter Place in Blair. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 10:30AM at First United Methodist Church in Blair. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow the funeral service. Graveside services will be held the same day at 2:30PM at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisville, Nebraska.

Tom was born on October 20, 1938, the son of Robert and Sylvia (Green) Urwin. He was the ninth child of the family and his father died when Tom was just five years old. His mother had to work to support the family so the children matured at a very early age. He graduated from Stella High School in 1957.

On November 16, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Davison in Howe, Nebraska. In 1960 Tom and Marilyn, moved to Omaha where he began working for OPPD, a career that lasted 35 years until his retirement in 1995.

Tom, Marilyn and their family traveled extensively throughout the years. Tom and Marilyn had traveled to all 50 states and 12 different countries during their travels. He was an avid supporter of blood drives donating 133 pints over the years, it was just one of the ways he will be remembered for supporting his community.

Tom loved to fish, repairing old cars, woodworking, and was always there to help a neighbor in need. Tom will always be remembered as a dedicated, hard worker, doing everything he could to support his family.

Tom leaves his wife Marilyn, children; son Tim (Susan) and daughter Julia Urwin, grandchildren Graham Urwin-Toll, Ayla Urwin-Toll (Seth Schlemmer), brother-in-law Marvin (Una Rose) Davison, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jay Urwin, 8 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha, Nebraska or First United Methodist Church in Blair Services by Campbell Aman Funeral Home, Blair, NE.
