EDGAR STRICKLETT, 42, FORMER BLAIRITE DIES IN KANSAS CITY

Edgar W. Stricklett, 42, formerly of Blair, died suddenly Sunday morning in a hospital at Kansas City, where he had been taken a few hours earlier, after becoming ill.

Mr. Stricklett was office manager of the Orchard & Wilhelm branch of the Duff & Repp Furniture Co. in Kansas City. He had lived in Kansas City a number of years.

The body was brought to Blair to the Campbell Mortuary. Funeral services were conducted at First Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. D. D. Kennedy of First Baptist Church was in charge and burial followed in Blair Cemetery.

Native of Blair, Mr. Stricklett was born Sept. 17, 1904. He was a graduate of Blair High School.

Surviving him are his wife, Aillen, and a son, James, both at Kansas City; his mother, Mrs. Dick Ray of Blair; and two brothers, Dale Stricklett of Blair and Clark Stricklett of Omaha.
