Marlene E. Hansen, 88

Marlene passed away on May 23, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, after an illness.

She was born on January 11, 1938, in Blair, Nebraska. She married Richard Hansen on June 28, 1958, and together they raised five children in Blair. Marlene worked at Sears and Public Schools in Wahoo for 23 years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gifford and Marie Nielsen; brothers, Jim, Duane, and Roger; and nephew, Jeff Nielsen; sons-in-law, Jerry Nelson and Richard Moscato.

She leaves her children and their spouses: Deb (Randy) Crist, Teresa ( Duane) Reeder, Kathy (Dan) Vernon, Kent (Stephanie) Hansen, and Carolyn (Bill) Koehrsen; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Betty and husband, Ron Mlejnek; sisters-in-law, Marge Nielsen, Pat Nielsen, and Guin Doeden; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Visitation at 10 a.m., West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, 68124. Interment, Blair Cemetery, Blair, NE.
