Hans Beck, 90, of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully June 3, 2026, at his residence at Autumn Point Retirement Community in Fort Calhoun, NE. Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Hans was born Feb 12, 1936, in Goldelund, Germany to Carsten and Anna (Christofferson) Beck. He was the fourth of seven children. He completed his schooling in Goldelund. In 1960, Hans moved to the United States to Omaha, NE. Hans' sister Kate was living in the United States since 1956 nearby on a farm with her family in the Moville, Iowa area. Hans lived in Omaha where he worked as a bricklayer doing work on many projects throughout the Omaha area.

Hans met his wife Barbara, and they were married June 9, 1990. They lived in Omaha until moving to Fort Calhoun in 2020. Hans enjoyed playing soccer and in addition to playing was one of the first certified soccer coaches in the state of Nebraska. He enjoyed traveling in the US as well as trips back to Germany. He spent many days with his sister Kate, her husband John, and their three kids, Bruce, Bettina, and Todd on the farm in Iowa. Hans also had many friends in Omaha and everywhere he went.

Hans is survived by his granddaughters Jessica Raymond (Jordan, daughters Jenessa and Jaslyn) of Blair, NE and Sarah McDowell (Nick, children Ally, Brayden and Carmen) of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by three siblings, Kate Tabke, Kingsley, Iowa (children, Bruce, Bettina, and Todd); Edith Beck of London, England; Ingrid Beck-Patzak (Herbert, daughter Julia) of Ratingen, Germany and several other nephews in Germany.

Hans was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, and three siblings: Peter; Erna; and Uwe.
