Charlene Heaton

Charlene Heaton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, June 10,2026, at the age of 89.
Charlene was born on a beautiful spring day, Friday, April 9, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Harold and Lillian Roth. Throughout her life, Charlene was a beacon of warmth and kindness. Her love for family and friends was evident in all she did.
She first married Dan Heaton, who preceded her in death. Later, she found love again and married Michael Candaux, with whom she shared the joys of life until her passing.
Charlene's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She had a special affinity for animals, filling her home with the joy of pets. She and Michael cherished their time spent on cruises and traveling across the country in their RV. Her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world was also expressed through her love for flowers and her later-in-life passion for bird watching.
Charlene worked at Uta Halee for 14 years.
Charlene was preceded in death by her first husband Dan Heaton, her infant brother Billy Roth, her son Brian Heaton, and her granddaughter Farrah Rauch.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving husband Michael, her children David (Cindy) Heaton, Renee (Gary) Hausmann, and Kent (Susan) Heaton, as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will remember her fondly.
In honor of Charlene's wishes, private graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Charlene will always be remembered for her gentle spirit and her unwavering love for those she held dear. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
