Robert Alan Olson was born on December 21, 1943, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Milton and Esther Olson. He grew up in Blair and attended Blair Community Schools. During his high school years, he met the love of his life, Linda. The two were united in marriage on June 26, 1966, and this year would have marked their 60th wedding anniversary.

Following graduation, Bob attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he played football. After college, Bob began his journey in the concrete industry and co-founded Olson and Stewart Construction. He spent the remainder of his working years building and operating the business, taking great pride in getting to work alongside both his sons and, later, his grandson.

Bob was known for his love of NASCAR, collecting classic cars, getting lottery tickets, and the many trips he made to his pride and joy, Lake Melissa in Minnesota. In his later years, he could often be found relaxing under the cocktail veranda, enjoying the lake he loved so much. Most importantly, Bob cherished time spent with his family and adored all of his grandpups. His storytelling, sense of humor, and dedication to those he loved will be remembered by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his sons, Craig (Heidi) Olson and Chris (Angi) Olson; his grandchildren, Keegan Olson, Olivia (Hunter) Andersen, and Halle Olson; and his great-granddaughter, Georgia Andersen. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Ann (Dave) Fuhrman and Jim (Linda Sue) Olson, as well as many other family members and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 18, 2026, at 10:30AM at first Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Bob’s life.
