Susie was born on June 9th, 1940 and passed away on June 25th, 2026 at the age of 86.

Susie Christensen, age 86, passed away June 25, 2026, at Carter Place in Blair, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 30, 2026, at 10:30AM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday June 29, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Susie was born June 9, 1940, in Blair, the daughter of George and Lorraine (Christiansen) Sheets. She was raised in Blair and attended West School and then graduated from Blair High School. On August 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to Russell M. Christensen at First Lutheran Church in Blair. The couple made their home in Fort Calhoun and a few years later moved to Blair.

Susie loved making clothes for her family and enjoyed her time with her card club. She was a founding member of the Blair Fire Department Auxiliary.

Susie always cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Susie leaves her children: Russell G. Christensen, Rodney L. Christensen and Ronda S. (Dan) Zoucha; grandchildren: Vicki (Matt) Smith, Herbert Christensen, Craig Christensen, Chelsea (Grant) Lurvey, Joslynn VanDerslice, Melissa (Cole) Kayton, Kyle (Meghan) Christensen, Taylor Christensen; four great-granddaughters: Courtney, Amber, Rylee and Allie; eight great-grandsons: Matthew, Dustin, Stetson, Reid, Ryker, John, Oliver and Casen; brothers: Bob (Connie) Sheets and Clarence Sheets; sister Nila Haggard, brother-in-law Dean (Syl) Christensen; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell M Christensen, son Roland Christensen, grandson Sam Christensen; sisters: Rose Mae Sheets and Lena Mae (Bill) Williby; brother George (Berniece) Sheets Jr.; sisters-in-law: Carole Sheets, Helen Sheets and Carol Cantey; brother-in-law Jack Haggard; daughter-in-law Joan Christensen; son-in-law Dave VanDerslice; niece Carol Jean Allison and great niece Mackenzie Christensen.

Memorials may be directed to Solomon Lodge #10 in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.
