Jay Stanley Neef, age 65 from Blair, Nebraska passed away after a long battle with cancer on June 7, 2026 at his home in Clermont, Florida.
He was born August 26, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jay graduated from Blair High School and attended Westminster University in Salt Lake City before graduating from Chadron State College. He began his career at Westinghouse in Lincoln, Nebraska, became the top sales agent at Thousand Adventures in Florida, and retired from Lennar Homes as the highest-selling real estate agent in the company.
He leaves his wife Judy Weir Neef, daughters Dr. Brittany Long (Andy) and Danielle Bruns (Zachary), grandchildren Luke and Noelle Long and Perri Bruns, his mother Kay Spidle, father Henry Neef (Marilyn), and brothers David (Carolyn), Chris (Lisa) and Michael.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents Stanley and Dorothea Bednar, Henry and Helen Neef and stepfather Carl Spidle.
Jay Neef was truly one of a kind. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his sense of humor, passion for hunting and Harley Davidson, grill master/cooking skills, and as a member of the American Legion Post 55 in Clermont. There was, and never will be, anyone quite like him.
