Kennard native, Selma L. Allison, 90, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at her home in Decatur.

Funeral services were Wednesday, April 28, at the Decatur United Methodist Church. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur.

Selma L. Allison was born Jan. 12, 1914, in Kennard to William B. and Annie (Nielsen) Rosenbaum. She graduated from Blair High School.

On Aug. 23, 1932, she married John H. Allison at Greeley, Colo.

Mrs. Allison was a homemaker. She lived in Talmage until 1974, when she moved to Decatur. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Decatur.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Metzler and son, Derald Dean Allison, both of Decatur; four grandchildren and their families; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters, a granddaughter, Janelle, and a son-in-law, Darold Metzler.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
