Ronald Lee Schreiner passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 28, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ron was born on February 5, 1936, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Carl Albert Schreiner and Grace Maye (Frenzel) Schreiner. He grew up on the family farm in Otoe County and graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1954.

He later moved to Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, where he spent his entire career as a heavy equipment operator for Fort Calhoun Stone. Following retirement, Ron and his wife, Adrienne, enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona as snowbirds. They were active members of their church and cherished the time they spent with their children and grandchildren. Ron found joy in many pursuits, including hunting, fishing, barbecuing, riding his Harley, gardening, and making his famous homemade beef jerky. He was also an animal lover who treasured the many dogs he owned throughout the years and fondly remembered his favorite childhood horse, Red, from the family farm. Ron enjoyed playing a variety of musical instruments, with the guitar being his favorite. Above all, Ron will be remembered for his kind heart, caring nature, and the love he shared with family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adrienne Shipley; his parents, Carl and Grace Schreiner; his brothers, Robert and Bill Schreiner; his sisters, Jean Larson and Dorothy Stitt; and his sons-in-law, Mike Zahn and Rick Knickelbein. He is survived by his daughters, Ronita (James) Walker, Kelly Zahn, Stacy Knickelbein, and Jessica Barr; his stepdaughters, Dottie Cleary and Lori McEvoy; his stepson, Roger (Tina) Shipley; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Immanuel Courtyard Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
