Neil George Rosenbaum passed away early July 9, 2026. He would have been 97, next month. Neil was born to Chester and Dora Rosenbaum, August 19, 1929. He had three siblings: LaVon (John) Miller, Don (Judy) Rosenbaum and Bruce (Carol) Rosenbaum.

He went to March and Kennard schools. Worked for Western Electric and then joined the Air Force in 1951 serving four years.

He retired from AT&T and volunteered for many years for Washington County Recycling.

He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard and served many years on the Council and was Treasurer for 20 years. He married Edie Jensen and they had five children: Rusty (Lynn) Rosenbaum, Susan (Steve) Myers, Mindy Sheets (deceased), Emily Rosenbaum and Eric Rosenbaum. He had five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Neil could fix anything and he never threw anything away. He built two large outbuildings; one is a large three car garage with an attached horse barn. He also remodeled the old house on their acreage. Neil loved to play cards and enjoy family gatherings, always with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake! He also enjoyed a Pepsi every day. Neil also loved animals, especially his two rescue dogs, The Brown Brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2026 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with a visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., funeral at 11:00 and lunch to follow. Memorials may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church or the Kennard Fire Department.
