John O. Patterson Sr., 86, died July 8, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel, 2727 N. 108th St., Omaha.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5419 N. 114th St., Omaha. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

John O Patterson, 86 Omaha, born Jan 20 1940 and found peace in his next adventure July 8th, 2026.

John was born Jan 20, 1940 to Frank and Myrtle Patterson of Omaha, NE with 3 brothers along his side. There must have been some crazy times. John was a hard worker all his life. At the young age of 16, he met the love of his life, Sharon Kuker. They married Jan 21, 1961 and started their family and raised 4 children.

John built his life with family, hard work, honesty and morals. He taught his family the value of patience, showing up when it mattered and so much more.

He will always be an amazing father, husband, brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather as well as a friend to so many. Having a life well lived, he will be missed tremendously by many and will forever be in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon and multiple family members.

He leaves his brother: Bruce (Julie); sons: John Jr of Blair NE and Jeff (Cindy) of Gretna, NE; daughters: Judy of South St Paul, MN and Barbara (Mike) of Rapid City, SD; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
