Marguerite Ann (Hansen) Thompson, 95, of Aurora, Colorado, died peacefully Feb. 28, 2026, in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Born July 20, 1930, in Blair, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Lester and Emma Hansen. She graduated from Blair High School in 1947 and later attended United Airlines training school in Kansas City. While attending school, she met her future husband, Darrell Dean Thompson. The couple made their home in Aurora, Colorado, where Marguerite worked for United Airlines before beginning a career with the Arapahoe County Clerk's Office. She served as a supervisor in the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Marguerite enjoyed sewing, reading, playing card games, homemaking, cheering for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, potato chips, ice cream and Diet Coke. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, wit, generosity and strong independence.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Marshall and husband Steve; son-in-law, Jim Earl; sister, Evelyn Long; grandchildren, Stefanie, Jeffrey, Jonathan and Daniel; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Dean Thompson; daughter, Debra Earl; parents, Lester and Emma Hansen; and sister, Mary Biggerstaff.

No funeral services are planned.
